FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, specifically to a method of producing melanin and dry extract of biologically active substances of shelf fungus. Method of producing melanin and dry extract of biologically active substances of shelf fungus involves production of an aqueous extraction, filtration, acidification of extract, stirring, separating melanin precipitate by filtration, evaporating filtrate in a water bath dry to produce a dry extract of biologically active substances, wherein acidification of aqueous extraction is carried out with a cationite KU-2-8 CHS, after mixing cationite is separated, and filtrate is evaporated.

EFFECT: method provides more effective use of raw material by producing two products - melanin and dry extract of biologically active substances of shelf fungus, increased output of melanin, improved quality of finished products due to reduction of their ash content, reduced time of extracting melanin.
