FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy. Method of producing copper nanopowder from electrical copper wire wastes, containing not less than 99.5 % copper, comprises spark erosion dispersion in distilled water at pulse repetition frequency of 100-120 Hz, voltage on electrodes of 200-220 V and capacitance of discharge capacitors of 25.5-35.5 mcF, with subsequent centrifugation of solution to separate nanoparticles from large particles.
EFFECT: production of spherical copper nanopowder with insignificant quantity of impurities.
