FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrometallurgy, particularly to production by electroslag remelting of shutoff valves housing billet for steam boilers, steam lines and collectors of plants with high and supercritical steam parameters. Method involves remelting of consumable electrode in slag bath with casting billets of a vertical hollow housing and horizontal branch pipes and with increasing the fed electric power in building the branch pipes, herewith the lower part of the housing billet is built at the rate of 7-8 mm/min, then while building the branch pipes the electric power being fed in the slag bath is increased by 32-68 %, and the rate of building is reduced down to 3-3.5 mm/min, after which for building the remaining part of the housing the fed electric power is reduced by 20-38 %, and the rate of building is increased up to 5.5-6.5 mm/min.
EFFECT: invention provides higher quality of the cast branch pipe metal, as well as the quality of its surface, including the branch pipe adjacent zone to the housing.
