FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making and can be used for production of flat tape springs, including spiral ones, with preset geometry from beryllium bronze. Method comprises placing tape workpiece in metal plate groove, wherein process of tape blank hardening is conducted by way of maintenance at temperature of 760-790 °C for 10-30 minutes with abrupt cooling and ageing at temperature of 300-400 °C for 3.5 hours with subsequent cooling down. Slot in metal plate is made with width by 5-10 % larger than thickness of tape blank and with shape ensuring formation of spring in it with preset geometry.
EFFECT: removed internal stresses in plate material, reduced labor costs for manufacturing.
