FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to functional diagnostics of distal oesophagus pathology. Oesophageal mucosa endoscopy is performed. Ultrasonic scanning is performed by means of the endosonoskop. To estimate the regression of inflammatory process the distal oesophagus wall thickness is measured. If the distal oesophagus wall thickness is 4.5-6.0 mm, there is no inflammation. In the presence of mucous layer inflammation signs, metaplasia centers and gastroesophageal reflux disease, and if wall thickness is more than 8.0 mm, oesophagitis is diagnosed. For diagnosis of hiatal hernia relapse, distal oesophagus wall thickness and surrounding oesophagus tissues are measured at the level and above the level of the fundoplication cuff. In the presence of mucous layer inflammation signs, metaplasia centers and gastroesophageal reflux disease, and if the fundoplication cuff displaces relatively to the zone of lower esophagus sphincter and if its thickness is less than 10.0 mm, hiatal hernia relapse is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of the conducted diagnosis ensured by the integrated examination, which enables simultaneous evaluating the oesophagus mucous membrane state and the anatomical position, as well as postoperative distal oesophagus zone state.
