FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used in internal combustion engines with turbocharges. Turbocharged internal combustion engine (1) has at least two turbochargers (8, 9) and at least one cylinder head (2) two cylinders (3) that are arranged in lines along the longitudinal axis of the cylinder head (2). Each of the cylinders (3) has at least one outlet (4) for discharging exhaust gases. Each outlet (4) is connected to an exhaust pipe (5). Exhaust pipes (5) of at least two cylinders (3) merge to form two overall exhaust pipes (7a, 7b) inside at least one cylinder head (2) so as to form two integrated exhaust manifolds (6a, 6b). Total exhaust pips of the exhaust manifold (6a, 6b) are spaced apart along the longitudinal axis of the cylinder head (2) and exit the cylinder head (2) on the side of the exhaust manifolds (6a, 6b), opposite the cylinders (3). First overall exhaust pipe (7a) is connected to the entry region (8a') of the turbine (8a) of the first turbo compressor (8). Second common exhaust pipeline (7b) is connected to the inlet area (9a') of the turbine (9a) of the second turbo compressor (9). Cylinder head (2) has a balcony-like projection (10) located between the overall exhaust pipes (7a, 7b) exiting the cylinder head (2). Projection (10) has an opening connected to the outlet region (8a”, 9a”) of a corresponding turbine (8a, 9a) on each of its sides each directed onto one turbine (8a, 9a). Lines adjoining the two openings merge to form a common pipeline that comes from the projection (10). Invention discloses an engine operation technique.
EFFECT: to minimize the volume of a pipeline system between the outlet openings on cylinders and turbines.
