FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to traumatology and orthopaedics and can be used to increase bone mass of the cotyloid cavity during hip replacement in patients suffering from osteoporosis. Treatment of the surface of the cotyloid cavity prior to installation of the cotyloid component is performed with a cutter; its diameter is selected under standard conditions, X mm. When implanting transplants, pressure is applied to press transplants into the wall of the cotyloid cavity. Then the surface of the cotyloid cavity is successively treated with cutters travelling in reverse and counterclockwise: first, with diameter of X-2 mm, then with diameter X-1 mm and X mm, providing sealing of implanted transplants.
EFFECT: method ensures increased bone mass density of the cotyloid cavity with maximum preservation of its own bone structures.
