FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and aims at repairing defects of cotyloid cavity with titanium mesh during hip replacement. Bone implant is represented by auto- or alkali in the form of chips filling the defect area of the cotyloid cavity. Then cotyloid cavity is reinforced with titanium mesh, modeled to hemispherical shape, which is additionally fixed to pelvic bone outside defect zone from inside cotyloid cavity 2-3 with spongiose screws. Pelvic component of endoprosthesis is implanted into cement into titanium mesh.
EFFECT: invention provides reliable fixation of the pelvic component of the endoprosthesis with evident protrusion deformities and defects in the bottom of the cotyloid cavity, which reduces a risk of postoperative instability of the acetabular component of the endoprosthesis.
