FIELD: biochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry. More specifically to consumer goods containing proteases for cold water, and methods of producing and using such goods. Described is a method of processing and/or cleaning a surface, preferably a fabric surface. Said surface is brought into contact with the composition in aqueous cleansing solution, herewith the said composition contains an auxiliary material and a version of protease. Then the surface is washed and/or dried, herewith the preferable temperature of the aqueous cleansing solution is 5-30 °C. Said version of protease is a version of the parent protease with the sequence of the said parent protease at least 90 % identical to amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO: 1. Amino acid positions of the said protease version are numbered in accordance with the numbering of corresponding amino acid positions in the amino acid sequence of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens of subtilisin BPN′ shown in SEQ ID NO: 2. Said version of protease contains mutation T022R.

EFFECT: invention provides improved cleansing, whiteness and/or freshness.
