FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to disinfectology, sanitary and hygiene, namely, to methods of disinfecting various media and surfaces by chemical compounds and compositions thereof. Group of inventions discloses the use of 1,3-dihydroxy-4-hexylbenzol, preliminary effect of which on bacterial cells considerably improves the affinity of their surface to carbon nanotubes and fullerenes, resulting in intensification of subsequent effect of carbon nano-disinfectants. Practical use of 1,3-dihydroxy-4-hexylbenzol provides its introduction into the disinfested media or application onto the disinfested surfaces in the form of dry powders or solutions (containing 0.00001-0.0001wt%), incubation for 60 minutes and subsequent exposure of carbon nanotubes or fullerenes in the volume and amount required for development of sufficient disinfecting effect.
EFFECT: positive result from using the group of inventions is the bacterial cells sensitization providing more evident and faster development of the antimicrobial effect under the effect of nano-structured carbon compounds; an additional positive result from the use of the group of inventions is aggregation of the bacterial cell and acting on them nano-carbon particles, that facilitates subsequent removal of similar aggregates from disinfectant media or surfaces.
