SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of associating text messages to an electronic spreadsheet stored in the first computing device. Text message directed to the spreadsheet is received from the second computing device, herewith the electronic spreadsheet contains one or more spreadsheet objects, and the text message is not associated with the electronic spreadsheet stored in the second computing device. Syntax analysis of the text message received from the second computing device is performed to determine an electronic spreadsheet object from the said one or more spreadsheet objects, which is associated with this text message, herewith the syntax analysis of the text message includes determination of the user identification data, who sent the text message. Operation is defined for the text message execution in the spreadsheet. This operation is performed in the spreadsheet, herewith the operation includes access to the associated spreadsheet object.

EFFECT: technical result is the acceleration of spreadsheet processing on devices with small displays.
