METHOD FOR SIMULATING ELECTROTHERMOCHEMICAL BURN OF UPPER GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2598961 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to experimental medicine and aims at producing model of electrothermochemical burn of upper gastrointestinal tract. Pygmy domestic pig is used as a laboratory animal. In compliance with the first version the positive poles of the disk lithium-iodine batteries of standard size 2025 in amount of 3 pieces are fixed to threads of the suture material with length of 10, 20 and 30 cm using an epoxy resin-based adhesive. Then the free end of the threads with fixed batteries are anchored with u-sutures to the tongue base and soft palate of the animal, starting with the longest thread. After that, the threads are grasped by endoscopic forceps and pushed to oesophagus. In compliance with the second version of the method the upper midline laparotomy is performed, gastrotomy of 1.5-2.0 cm is performed in the area of body of stomach on the anterior wall. One disk lithium-iodine battery of standard size 2025 is anchored through the gastrotomic opening in the stomach cavity, positive pole of that battery is preliminarily fixed to the suture material with length of 25 cm by means of an epoxy resin-based adhesive.

EFFECT: disclosed versions of the method ensures producing local electrothermochemical burn of oesophagus or stomach with dosing exposure time of a damaging agent and simplified reproduction, systemic effect on the animal's body is eliminated.
