FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, namely to methods for determining technical parameters of vehicle, in particular its center of gravity. For this purpose, method comprises recording vibration process of vehicle, spectral analysis of vibrations, after which frequency of maximum amplitude component of spectrum, which is frequency of free vibrations of vehicle. Vibrations are recorded in form of variable accelerations in four points of vehicle, for each of orthogonal axes of difference of two accelerations. Method then includes performing spectral analysis of n consecutive realisations of acceleration differences, obtained n spectra are averaged to find natural vibration frequency of vehicle. Further, method includes spectral analysis of n consecutive realisations of acceleration, recorded at point of origin of coordinates, and determining coordinates of centre of gravity (centre of mass) of vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result consists in simplification of measurement process and reduced error of measurements of coordinates of centre of mass.
