SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles with start-stop system. Method of motor vehicle clutch actuation control during free rolling, where vehicle has engine to drive mechanical transmission via clutch, determining if gear selected for start-up in free rolling is suitable. If selected gear is unsuitable, preventing clutch engagement. Clutch engagement control device comprises drive engaging and disengaging clutch, and electronic control unit, which determines whether selected gear ratio is suitable for clutch engaging. If selected gear is unsuitable, control unit prevents clutch engaging.
EFFECT: solution is aimed at elimination of driver errors.
