SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to space engineering. Method of determining position of object mainly relative to spacecraft comprises determining parameters of relative position of infrared emitters of pulse signals, generating control action on radiators, measuring parameters generated by position-sensitive infrared radiation detectors. Based on measured values of parameters, coordinates of radiators in base coordinate system are determined. System for determining position of an object includes optical systems, units for setting parameters of optical systems, determination of parameters of position of object, means of interfacing radio devices with units of infrared signal emitters, units of position-sensitive infrared radiation detectors, units of generating data of receiving infrared signals, means of interfacing radio devices with units for generating data of receiving infrared signals, radio receiving-transmitting devices, unit for generating control commands for radiation and reception of infrared signals.

EFFECT: technical result of group of inventions is determination of position of object with moving parts.
