FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to versions of the additive composition intended for controlling and inhibiting polymerisation of styrene. In one version this composition consists of amine and quinone methide, where said amine is selected from a group comprising triizopropanolamin and propoxylated ethylenediamine, triethanolamine and tributylamine, diethanolamine, monoethanolamine and their combinations. In another version the composition consists of oxide -processed derivative of amine and quinone methide compound selected from a group consisting of amine derivatives treated with ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and butylene oxide. Invention also relates to a method of production and use of said compositions.
EFFECT: use of this invention enables to monitor inhibition of styrene polymerisation using very small dosage.
