SUBSTANCE: first layer has weight ratio of polymer and hydrophilic fibres (weight of polymer/weight of hydrophilic fibres) of 1 or more, and second layer has a high content of absorbent polymer and higher content of hydrophilic fibres in comparison with first layer. Third layer has lower content of absorbent polymer and lower content of hydrophilic fibres in comparison with second layer. In third layer weight ratio of absorbent polymer and hydrophilic fibres (weight of absorbent polymer/weight of hydrophilic fibres) is 0.5 or less. First layer, second layer and third layer are continuous in thickness direction. Absorbent element has a recessed portion extending through thickness of second layer and third layer in a state five minutes after adding aqueous sodium chloride solution with concentration 0.9 weight percentage in amount of 2,000 g/m². Also disclosed is an absorbent article comprising a top sheet located on side facing skin, back sheet arranged on side not facing skin, and an absorbent element described above, located between top sheet and back sheet.

EFFECT: disclosed is an absorbent element including absorbent polymer and hydrophilic fibres and having a first layer, a second layer and a third layer.
