FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to infinitely variable speed transmissions with flexible link, and can be used in drives of various vehicles including ball bearing chassis of wheel-track vehicles. V-belt variator comprises moving in the horizontal plane opposite oriented equal-sized semi-pulleys on shafts and an elastic belt, parallel rotational axes of the semi-pulleys lie on a common cylindrical surface, the generatrix of which is equidistant from the axis of rotation of the variator, and connection of the semi-pulleys with the shafts is splined with filling of cylindrical slots in the connection with balls by means of a mechanism, which prevents circulation of the balls between the slots. Semi-pulleys can be made hyperboloidal or conical. Herewith the semi-pulleys can be made with longitudinal-radial slits.
EFFECT: provided is expanded functional capabilities of the V-belt variator.
