SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of audio signals. Packing process reduces initial dynamic range of initial audio signal by packaging process, dividing the initial audio signal into a combination of segments using windows of certain shape, calculates gain factor in wide frequency band in the frequency domain using based not on energy average value of discrete values of the frequency domain of the initial audio signal and applies the separate amplification coefficients for amplification of segments with relatively low intensity and attenuation of segments with relatively high intensity.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of quantizing noise.
