FIELD: computer technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer technology for high-frequency reconstruction/regeneration of audio signals. The technical result is to improve the quality of the high-frequency signal. The technical result is achieved by receiving a number of low-frequency subband signals; receiving a set of target energies, where each target energy covers a different target interval within the high frequency interval and is indicative of the required energy of one or more high frequency subband signals lying within the target interval; generating a plurality of high frequency subband signals from a plurality of low frequency subband signals and from a plurality of spectral gains, respectively, associated with the plurality of low frequency subband signals; and adjusting the energy of the plurality of high frequency subband signals using the set of target energies, wherein the energy adjustment of the plurality of high frequency subband signals comprises limiting the energy adjustment of the high frequency subband signals lying within the limit interval.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the high-frequency signal.
