FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Result is achieved by steps of: decoding the encoded low-frequency signal to obtain a decoded low-frequency signal; converting the decoded low-frequency signal into a number of low-frequency sub-band signals; receiving a set of target energies, where each target energy covers a different target interval within the high-frequency interval and serves as a feature of the required energy of one or more high-frequency sub-band signals lying within the target interval; generating a number of high-frequency sub-band signals from a number of low-frequency sub-band signals, wherein, when the control data serve as a feature of the spectrum gain coefficients, generating a number of high-frequency sub-band signals comprises applying, to the plurality of low-frequency sub-band signals, a plurality of spectrum gains associated with the plurality of low-frequency sub-band signals, respectively; and energy adjustment of a number of high-frequency sub-band signals using a set of target energies.
EFFECT: elimination of artefacts when adjusting the spectrum envelope of the high-frequency band signal so that it resembles the original envelope of the spectrum.
