FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: articles in form of band characterised with improved properties are made of multifilament threads of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UMWP). Articles in form of band can be characterised by the ratio of the area under the curve corresponding to low temperature (from 120 °C to Tmlt) to the total area under curve (from 120 °C to 165 °C) less than approximately 0.15 measured according to results of DSK thermogram with temperature rise from 30 °C to 200 °C at constant speed 10 °C per minute. Besides, in some versions specific strength of articles in form of a tape can be at least approximately 24 g/denier (2.06 GPa) when measured according to ASTM D882-09 at 10-inch (25.4 cm) length of tested part of the sample and at tensile speed of 100 %/min.
EFFECT: articles in form of band may not be characterized by a long period of less than 450 Angstrom (Å) when measuring by x-ray small-angle analysis.
