FIELD: cable.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable industry, in particular to production of medium voltage cables (6-35 kV) with current-carrying conductors having a sector shape. In first version, application of insulation onto cable conductor (1) of sector shape distributor (2) of extrudate in extrusion head (3) or extrusion head together with distributor (2) of flow of extrudate is turned and fixed in turned position, conductor (1) is unwound from drum using a conventional technique, where its cylindrical section (4) of surface faces "neck" of drum. Said version of application of insulation avoids formation of joint streams (5) of extrudate in angular zones (6) of conductor (1). In second version of application of insulation onto conductor (1) position of distributor (2) of flows of extrudate in extrusion head (3) and position of extrusion head (3) remains unchanged and conductor (1) is turned. Turning of conductor (1) is performed by placing a rotary device between giving drum and extrusion head (3).
EFFECT: technical result is preventing formation of joints of flows of extrudate in angular zones of conductor.
