FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power cables with extruded polymer insulation intended for transmission and distribution of electric power at stationary electric plants at variable voltage of 50 Hz 6-35 kV at minus 40°C to plus 50°C and air relative humidity of up to 98% at plus 35°C. Cable phase comprises current conducting conductor 1, conducting shield over conductor 2, insulation of chemically cross-linked polyethylene or ethylene-propylene rubber 3 and conducting shield 4 over insulation. Note here that material of conducting shield sections 5 is oriented along electric field power lines. Similar sections 6 in insulation and sections 7 in conducting shield over insulation are located outside the sector angles, i.e. at flat and/or cylindrical shield sections. Note here that positions of said sections in all three elements of insulation system are shifted relative to each other.
EFFECT: higher reliability due to higher electric strength.
