FIELD: cooling systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cooling system, particularly, to a thermostat design. Thermostat design for a motor vehicle cooling system comprises valve body (9), which can move between different positions to control flow rate of the cooling fluid from inlet channel (3) of the thermostat into two outlet channels (5, 6). Valve body has a valve device in the form of first plate element (15), which in the end position of the valve body is in contact with the valve seat between inlet channel (3) and second plate element (16), which forms first outlet channel (5) so that this contact prevents the flow of the cooling fluid medium from passing from the inlet channel into this outlet channel. Two plate elements (15, 16) are intended to form when shifted from this position of contact a connection between inlet channel (3) and outlet channel (5) in the form of channel section (22) determined by surfaces (23, 24) of two plate elements (15, 16) facing each other and having a slowing the flow shape.
EFFECT: invention ensures increased service life of the thermostat due to prevention of sudden temperature impacts in the cooler.
