FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for sealing gas joint between internal combustion engine bushing and cylinder cover on combustion chamber side. Internal combustion engine combustion chamber seal includes annular sealing gasket (3) installed in cylinder bushing (1) and cylinder cover (2) fixed relative to each other compacted surfaces grooves. Gasket (3) is made in form of steel ring from rectangular cross section heat-resistant steel. Gasket has elliptical shaped groove on external side surface. Ellipse semi-axes ratio (a/b) is less than or equal to 1.5 and more or equal to 1. Larger ellipse axis is directed perpendicular to cylinder axis. Groove is located symmetrically in height relative to sealing gasket (3) upper and lower surfaces. Surfaces have smooth roundings.
EFFECT: technical result consists in ensuring tightness due to only gasket material elastic deformations and cylinder cover and bushing compacted surfaces without occurrence of plastic deformations.
