FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of paint materials with special properties, intended for application on different types of substrates for purpose of remote monitoring of temperature processes. Described is a thermochromic acrylic paint material based on acrylic copolymers, which additionally contains from 1 wt% to 15 wt% thermochromic coordination compound of iron(II) with tris(pyrazolil-1-yl)methane and anion of naphthalene sulphonic acid composition [Fe(C10H10N6)2](C10H7SO3)2·2H2O, and reversible colour change takes place at temperature 150 °C.
EFFECT: novel thermochromic acrylic paint material based on coordination compound of iron(II), which is cheap to produce and easy to use in practice.
