FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biochemistry. Disclosed is a device and a method of guiding cell migration, as well as a method of making said device. Device comprises a substrate having a textured surface having an anisotropic three-dimensional structure for contact with cells. Said structure consists of alternating projections on textured surface with formation of uniform repeating structure with gaps between projections. Projections have a size smaller than cells, wherein projections are inclined relative to perpendicular to plane formed by textured surface, in a direction specified by anisotropic structure. Method involves preparation of a silicone mould using optical lithography with automatic matching, wherein said mould is a negative copy of a three-dimensional structure, moulding material making up three-dimensional structure, and disconnection of silicone shape. Method of guiding migration of cells is carried by bringing cells into contact with said device.
EFFECT: inventions provide controlled cell migration in a predetermined direction.
