FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: security device is provided comprising: an array of focusing elements, each of which is capable of focusing light in at least a first direction. Focusing elements are arranged in accordance with a regular, at least one-dimensional, grid. There is also an array of image elements located exactly opposite the raster of focusing elements and built on the basis of repeating cells specifying positions for image elements. Periodicity of the cells is essentially equal to the periodicity of the grid, in accordance with which the array of the focusing elements is placed. Each cell specifies a group of positions for the image elements inside it, and each of the indicated positions in the cell is associated with the element of the corresponding image. Array of focusing elements is able to direct to the observer the light from the positions for the image elements selected depending on the viewing angle, with the possibility of sequential demonstration when the device tilts the various indicated images by a combination of image elements located at the selected positions for the image elements. Central portion of each cell that contains one or more items for image elements intended to carry an element(s) of the corresponding central image, is larger than each outer portion of the cell located outside the central portion and intended for carrying the element(s) of the other of said images, so that the interval of viewing angles, within which the observer displays the central image, exceeds the observation angle interval in which each other image is displayed.
EFFECT: security device and a method for manufacturing such a device are provided.
