FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to techniques for application of ion-plasma and cataphoretic coatings, in particular, to a method of treating surface of a metal article, and can be used for protection from fretting of axles of turning blades of a guide apparatus made from titanium alloy and bolt joints of steel. Current-conducting material used is titanium, chromium, alloy of titanium and chromium, nickel-based alloy. Accumulation and diffusion of ions of current-conducting material on surface of article is performed at negative potential at article of 1-100 V and during bombardment of surface of article with argon ions with a frequency of 0.03±0.005 Hz and energy of 20-40 keV.
EFFECT: further, saturation is carried out by cataphoresis of surface of coating on article with a solid lubricant of molybdenum disulphide or tungsten disulphide type.
