FIELD: gas turbine engines; coatings.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for obtaining a coating on the surface of a titanium monowheel of a centrifugal compressor of a gas turbine engine. The surface of the titanium unicycle is bombarded, cleaned, and heated with ions of a conductive material. The accumulation and diffusion of ions of conductive material on the surface of the monowheel is carried out in a nitrogen reaction gas environment by rotating the monowheel between the first and second conductive materials at a temperature of the specified surface below the softening temperature of the material of the monowheel with the formation of a coating. Two titanium alloys not connected together are used as a conductive material, the first alloy containing at least 99 wt.% titanium, and the second is an alloy of the titanium-aluminum-chromium system containing 14-25 wt.% aluminum and 2-5 wt.% chromium. A vacuum arc is excited simultaneously on each titanium alloy. The accumulation and diffusion of ions is first carried out simultaneously from two titanium alloys, and then only from the first. The ratio of the time of accumulation of ions simultaneously from two titanium alloys and the time of accumulation of ions from the first titanium alloy is 2:5-3:5. The angle between the axis of rotation of the titanium monowheel and the directed plasma flow of titanium alloys is maintained in the range of 67.5-72.5 degrees.
EFFECT: increased erosion and corrosion resistance of the monowheel of a centrifugal compressor of a gas turbine engine.
