FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, specifically to a volumetric geocell to prevent erosion of soil, lining of channels, construction of retaining walls from reinforced soil, application of road surfaces. Volumetric geocell for versions of applications with medium and low load, in which strength of wall of volumetric geocell, measured at 23 °C, is at least 3,400 N/m and at most 19,500 N/m. Volumetric geocell is formed from multiple polymer strips connected with each other b seams so that when strips are drawn apart, a cellular structure is formed. Each polymer strip has wall thickness, measured according to ASTM D5199, from 0.25 to 0.95 mm. Each polymer strip is made of high-density polyethylene, polypropylene or alloys thereof with polyamide or polyester.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of strength and sufficient vertical stability of geocell, reduction of material consumption and labour intensity.
