FIELD: biology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to storage of biological tissue samples. Container for storage of biological tissue sample includes: container for placement of biological tissue sample comprising bottom; cap for engagement with mentioned container. Wherein cap comprises: upper element comprising reservoir designed to contain preserving agent; seal for tight closure of reservoir; piercing element for seal destruction. Wherein container has first and second positions, in first position container is isolated from reservoir, and in second position liquid interconnection is provided between reservoir and container. Wherein container includes separator located between seal and container bottom, and separator has at least one hole adapted for fluid medium passing between reservoir and container. Method for preserving biological tissue sample using container is also disclosed.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to exclude blocking of seal puncture point, and also provides higher reliability and convenience of container use.
