FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle door handle protective device and, in particular, is intended for prevention of said door undesired opening during side collision. Door handle movement prevention device comprises: inertial system (17) with damping, which can rotate around rotary axis (A) between locked position area (β), where said inertial system (17) with damping mechanical devices (29) collide with opening mechanism (9) to prevent door handle (1) actuation, and initial position area (α), wherein door handle (1) can be freely actuated; resilient devices (21), intended to return inertial system (17) with damping into initial position area (α) in absence of acceleration. Inertial system (17) with damping comprises: cylindrical element (23) articulated with rotary axis (A); arm (25), connected to cylindrical element (23) and extending radially from rotary axis (A); inertial mass (27), supported on said arm (25) free end and designed to actuate inertial system (17) into locked position, when inertial forces, caused by acceleration as a result of vehicle side collision, are applied to said inertial mass (27), and inertial system (17) with damping also comprises rotary damper (37), installed in cylindrical element (23) around rotary axis (A), wherein damper (37) is designed to delay inertial system 17 return from locked position area (β) into initial position area (α).
EFFECT: prevention of undesired door opening during side collision.
