FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medical equipment, namely to devices for monitoring a patient with anxiety level. Patient monitoring system comprises a probe module to acquire data of a patient and containing sample on cortisol in saliva for measurement of its level in saliva or in blood, evaluation module to determine a patient's state of anxiety on the basis of the acquired data and specified evaluation of a patient's state of anxiety on the basis of the additional data, at that, the evaluation module is additionally configured to determine a patient's state of anxiety on the basis of saliva cortisol level or blood cortisol level, and an indicator module to feedback the determined state of anxiety to attending staff. Method for monitoring a patient is provided during operation of the monitoring system.
EFFECT: use of the inventions enables to extend the range of tools for monitoring patients with anxiety level.
