FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to abdominal surgery, and can be used in laparoscopic ventral hernia repair. Prior to installation of composite mesh endoprosthesis the bladder is intraoperatively filled with fluid. Bottom of the filled bladder is located within the expected bed of the composite mesh endoprosthesis, an incision of the parietal peritoneum is marked is along the line of its transition to the bladder. Then the urinary bladder is emptied, and the parietal peritoneum is dissected along the marked line with subsequent intraperitoneal placement of composite mesh endoprosthesis with adequate overlap of the hernia defect at least 5 cm. Then the caudal portion of the composite mesh endoprosthesis is moved into the preperitoneal and prevesical position through the incision, which is then closed, fixing the parietal peritoneum above the prosthesis.
EFFECT: method eliminates the risk of turning of the caudal part of the composite mesh endoprosthesis at filling of the bladder.
