FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of noise-damping composite materials and structures for machine building, transport, construction and a method of producing laminar sound-absorbing composite materials. Method involves connecting at least two layers of nonwoven materials made from a mixture of polymer or polymer and flax fibre. Prior to connection one of the layers is subjected to hot shaping by compression at the temperature of not lower than the melting temperature of polymer material of fibers to increase the volume density 2-6 times. Connection is performed by simultaneous pressing of cold layer with initial density and layer subjected to hot pressing. Pressing is carried out at the temperature lower than the melting temperature of polymer material of fibres without preliminary cooling of thermoformed layer.
EFFECT: invention ensures production of materials with higher acoustic characteristics, flexural rigidity and consequently structural strength.
