FIELD: treatment of water, industrial and household waste water.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of treating waste water and can be used in cleaning industrial and domestic waste water, including oil products. Method involves removal of impurities by sedimentation and flotation with subsequent finish purification of water by passing it through ion-exchange resins. Flotation involves emulsification of purified water by its ultrasonic treatment. Ion-exchange resins used are granules-cationites which are placed in an electrically insulated hopper, in the peripheral part of which there is at least one electrode covering the working zone of final cleaning, which is connected to the positive pole of the power supply source, and in central part of said working cleaning zone at least one electrode connected to negative pole of electric power supply source. Ultrasonic treatment of water is carried out at frequency from 16–50 kHz, and in the zone of final water purification to electrodes electric potential is supplied from 12 to 36 V, at that granules-cationites with sizes from 1.3 to 2.5 mm are used.

EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency and efficiency of waste water treatment.
