FIELD: wastewater treatment plants.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to filtration. Filter for fluid medium comprises casing and filter cartridge located therein. Casing includes boss made therein, at that boss contains hole of first diameter and hole of second diameter passing below and connected with hole of first diameter. Hole of second diameter is less than hole of first diameter, and hole of second diameter is not aligned along axis with hole of first diameter. In filter there is cylindrical coupling element connected with said filter cartridge, and coming out of it, wherein said cylindrical coupling element, while coupling, accommodates into said hole of first diameter in boss for fixation and positioning of said filter cartridge in said casing. Filter includes device for identification of at least one characteristic of said cartridge filter to indicate, whether said filter cartridge is appropriate and complies to said filter requirements for fluid medium. Said characteristic represents at least one of specified values in microns, certain filtration efficiency, certain capacity to separation of water, certain manufacturer, date of manufacture, certain country of production and specific replacement date.

EFFECT: technical result is higher quality of filter operation.
