FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pneumatic tire. Pneumatic tire comprises a tread, multiple strips on the tread confined by a main circular groove passing in circumferential direction of the tire, multiple blocks on the shoulder tread strip which is most remote outward in the direction over the tire width. Blocks are confined by multiple narrow grooves with width which is less than the width of the main circular groove, and auxiliary groove, width of which increases outward in the direction over the tire width in the zone not adjacent to the main circular groove. Auxiliary grooves enter the main circular groove, and on entry into the main circular groove there is a head width of which exceeds minimum width of the auxiliary grooves. Surface area of each block of the tread is 100-200 mm2.
EFFECT: better adhesion and braking characteristics during driving over ice without deterioration of drainage properties.
