FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sheet foamed material based on polylactic acid, which provides advantages associated with reduction of power consumption and emission of greenhouse gases and does not emit toxic substances, such as a toxic gas or chemical substances disturbing the operation of endocrine system. Described is a sheet foamed material containing at least one layer of resin and formed from a biodegradable resin composition containing: 100 % amorphous polylactic acid with a chain elongated with a chain extender, which is a terpolymer of ethylene, acrylic ester and glycidyl methacrylate, and a chain elongation catalyst; a chain elongation catalyst in the amount of 0.5–1.0 wt% per 100 wt% of polylactic acid with elongated chain; a plasticizer in the amount of 40 to 100 wt% per 100 wt% of polylactic acid resin with elongated chain; a foaming agent; a foaming additive, which includes at least one of zinc neodecanoate, potassium neodecanoate and zinc 2-ethylhexanoate; and inorganic fillers in the amount of 100–300 wt% per 100 wt% of polylactic acid resin with elongated chain. Also described is a method of producing the sheet material.
EFFECT: production of a sheet foamed material with improved water resistance and technological properties.
