SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a digital television broadcasting single frequency network (SFN), the Single Frequency Network, of second generation standard DVB-T2 and can be used in SFN type networks built both on domestic and foreign television transmitters. To achieve the result the inlet flow switching is performed in-phase with the beginning of superframes by replacement of bit information in P1 symbol of each superframe preamble with zero one in T2-MI stream in the test signal generator, which performs the role of a key on the software level, and by comparing pulses at the output of the modulator with the reference signal delayed relative to 1pps signal in the buffer of the reference signal by a value equal to the time mark. Device, which can be used for implementing the method of measuring resulting time delays in modulators of transmitters with a controlled delay line, is characterized by that it additionally includes new elements and connections between them: a test signal generator, a reference generator synchronized with precision 1 pps signal, a buffer of the reference signal.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy of measuring delays when testing modulators with a controlled delay line, the possibility of building SFN type networks using transmitters of different manufacturers with a large delay spread and possible spread of delays in the data transmission channel, high manufacturability of the proposed device, which does not require reconstruction of the transmitters in operation.
