FIELD: computer systems.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to computer systems and IPTV networks intended for digital television broadcasting. Method for improving the quality of data transmission channel in IPTV systems based on the BER bit error rate in the TV broadcast mode is proposed. According to the method, the IPTV system parameters are adjusted by the control device, containing algorithm for parametrical optimization of the data transmission channel to the specified quality criteria of the data transmission channel, including the stability margin according to the logarithmic bit error rate. Further, according to the method, the objective function of optimizing the parameters of the data transmission channel is formulated, select the method of optimizing the data transmission channel for the given objective optimization function in the algorithm for controlling the parameters of the data transmission channel.

EFFECT: technical result is to automatically maintain a logarithmic bit error rate that increases the stability margin of the IPTV digital television broadcasting system.
