FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, to means of measuring geometrical parameters of extended objects, in particular it can be used for output control of welded and seamless round pipes, section rolled stock, billets, casts, forged pieces, etc. Method of measuring cutting slant involves finding along the entire perimeter of both ends of the pipe with a selected pitch simultaneously the distances from two straight lines parallel to the pipe generatrices to two diametrically opposite points, defining centers of both ends and position of the longitudinal axis of the object as per them and for each end measuring the distance along the pipe generatrices from planes perpendicular to them to the same points and defining their coordinates are projections onto the longitudinal axis, fixing and determining the cutting slant of each end as Cosina=(MaxD-MinD)/2, where MaxD, MinD are the maximum and the minimum distances between the projections of the measured end points onto the longitudinal axis of the object.

EFFECT: technical result of the disclosed method is higher accuracy of measuring cutting slant.
