SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to automatic search for a replacement of pharmaceutical drugs. To perform an automatic search for a replacement of medicinal preparations a user request is received, it contains information on at least one pharmaceutical drug, including at least, the trade name of the pharmaceutical drug (TN) and patient's data; one or more active substances (AS) for each TN is determined; degree of interaction between AS of the pharmaceutical drugs, as well as between AS and patient's data (PD); list of AS and/or TN for replacement is made and AS and TN are ranked depending on degree of their interaction with the other AS from the list and/or contraindications to using those taking into account the DP; also it is determined whether they belong to groups arranged in any interconnected data storages, and whether any favorable interaction between them is possible, and then a replacement AS and/orTN for at least one AS and/or TN is found.

EFFECT: method provides automatic search for a replacement of pharmaceutical drugs based on the analysis of the data on interactions between pharmaceutical drugs and the probability of any unfavorable consequences for the patient.
