SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective layer applied on substrate nondestructive renewal method. Proposed method comprises electrochemical recovery of thermally grown oxide layer, located above substrate and protective layer. Recovery is performed under electrochemical conditions by applying external voltage to thermally grown oxide layer at temperature of at least 250 °C.
EFFECT: invention provides possibility to perform renewal at local sections of protective coating, without part or other device removal from engine, to minimize downtime and excess wastes.
