SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking article including liquid delivery material with prolonged release, liquid delivery material comprises a closed matrix structure, forming a plurality of domains. Liquid composition is captured inside domains and can be released from closed matrix structure when material is compressed. Liquid delivery material provides prolonged release of liquid composition in a range of forces of at least 5 N.
EFFECT: improved retention of liquid additives during storage.
