FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device (1) intended for manipulating objects (O) located in channel (2) inside fluid medium (F), in particular, liquid. Device includes channel (2) passing along longitudinal axis (X), wherein channel (2) has cross section with width (L) measured along first transverse axis (Y), and thickness (e), measured along second transverse axis (Z), perpendicular to first one. Width (L) exceeds thickness (e) or equal to it and channel has first (3) and second (4) walls located along second transverse axis (Z). Device includes acoustic waves generator (10), generating acoustic waves in channel from at least one of said walls (3, 4), wherein said acoustic waves generator (10) operates at frequency f, different from channel (2) resonance frequency f0 along second transverse axis (Z). Result is formation of at least one objects layer (N) by means of acoustic focusing.

EFFECT: possibility of changing of objects focusing position inside channel, possibility of objects focusing on entire size of channel.
