SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of vanadium from vanadium-containing material. Method involves preparing a mixture of vanadium-containing material with addition of sodium salt and calcining. Obtained mixture of vanadium-containing material with addition of sodium salt is mixed with clinker, which is calcined vanadium-containing material, and then mixture of vanadium-containing material with addition of sodium salt is calcined with clinker. Weight ratio of mixture of vanadium-containing material with addition of sodium salt to clinker is 20:80–90:10.

EFFECT: control of temperature, as well as improved conversion of vanadium when calcining.
