FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mass-spectrometry. Peculiarities of the method are vertical orientation of the meniscus of fluid in space, from the top of which there is emission of charged particles in a non-uniform constant electric field and arrangement of background gas counter flow under normal conditions. Counter background gas flow under normal conditions eliminating excessive not sprayed solution (liquid), formed on the outer side of the capillary of spraying without affecting the stability of spraying and monodispersity of charged particles. Mode of stable emission of charged particles (ion current) there is only provided that the distance from the end of the capillary, which is fed solution to the counter electrode is 6–9 mm, length of internal capillary extending from an external makes 3–4 external internal diameter of the capillary, inner diameter of external coaxial capillary is twice greater than the outer diameter of internal capillary. Spraying mode is sustained for tens of minutes. Adjustable parameters of spraying, namely electric voltage supplied to the counter electrode, and flow of the withdrawn gas from the coaxial channel between capillaries after tuning to the stable mode have hysteresis and if necessary, can be reduced without loss of effect.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining reproducible long-term stable current of charged particles by means of electrospraying in wide range of volumetric speed solutions of analysed substances under normal conditions and stable ion current of analysed substances coming into the analyser.
